What’s the opposite of innovation? “Mazoea”– doing things the same way, even if that way is not working very well. We see it regularly in businesses, and we also see it in development programming.

At RLabs Tanzania, we believe you have to get out there and find out what people are really thinking. We want to do grassroots innovation, which is why we are out there in the grassroots. We don’t mind trying something small, seeing if it works, and if it doesn’t, rethinking and continuing to listen.

Our time and budgets go directly to developing programmes that help youth see their assets and resources. By being part of the RLabs movement, you are helping us to keep getting out there, learning, and always making it better and better– the only way to develop really good grassroots innovation programmes!
